Cliffs of Moher

Today was a bit of a soggy day until late this afternoon. Tim and I scooted away early and visited a stone ring dating back to approximately 2000 BC! It was in the town of Kenmare where we were staying. Needless to say, we didn’t go “through” the stones and we weren’t transported back in time.

Next we travelled through the countryside to the cliffs of Moher.

Quite impressive...they are 212 m (720 feet) high. It was quite cool and extremely windy. While we were out there, the clouds opened and soaked us!

These are some of the thousands of stone fences throughout the countryside keeping in cows and sheep and the occasional horses. Amazing.
Surviving the crazy damp weather meant we were rewarded with a rainbow!
This is where we are heading for supper...a medieval feast!
