The Ring of Kerry

Today’s activity focussed on driving “The Ring of Kerry”. It was a fabulous day worthy of  many postcards. It started sunny, rained briefly about 4 or 5 times, but otherwise was pretty nice.
We started by talking a “jaunting carts” ride in Killarney Park. This was a horse drawn carriage through the park.
A thatched roof cottage in the park.

Ross castle
The rest are photos from around the ring. It is a small mountain range on the edge of the ocean and we drove around them, so it was very picturesque.
We stopped at an old style peat farm to learn how they traditionally harvested and used these peat briquettes.
The sheep and in some cases, the cows roamed these highlands (and occasionally even the roads!)
The many shades of green.

King Puck in the town of Sneem.
My kind of food truck...yum!
